Hello hello ♥️,

This blog is for my new face models. Now, everyone knows how important your first impression is. So, here is a quick guide to help you with what to bring to model castings. Save this blog and check back anytime you have a casting to ensure you don’t forget anything!
We’ve all been there, where we get somewhere super important and wish we had brought something with us. From one overpacker to the next, pack these things! Plus, it makes you look extra professional and like you know what you’re doing even if you don’t 😉.
Most important:
- iPad/tablet (to show portfolio), or actual portfolio book. Avoid using your phone to show the client! It looks messy and unprofessional.
- Comp cards (your agent will give you these), if you’re a freelance model, make your own.
- Casting details (usually on your email)
Beauty essentials:
- Lip balm
- Moisturiser (body)
- Minimal makeup for touch ups (e.g powder)
- Hair brush / bobbles
- Perfume
- Deodorant
Health and wellness:
- Snacks / protein bars (especially if you have more than one casting)
- Chewing gum / mints
- Water
- Plasters!!
Wardrobe:
- Heels if you aren’t wearing them (preferably some you can walk in)
- Bikini (in case you are asked)
Tech / extras
- Phone charger
- Notebook / pen (or use phone notes, good to jot down feedback / journal)
- Headphones

Being prepared for castings and showing up professional is so important in this industry. Plus, it will impress your agent, and they will feel confident that you are taking your job seriously. Treat it like a normal interview. Nobody wants to work with an unorganised model. This is your one shot to stand out, so prepare well! I have already written a blog on casting tips and tricks, so check that out. You have one chance to set a good impression, so make sure it’s a positive one and you book the job.
If you would like some more modelling tips, I have my E-book ‘Model Mindset: How To Turn Your Dreams To Reality ’ out now, packed with loads of tips and tricks. Plus, I’m offering a free 1:1 call with me where you have the chance to ask any questions and get advice. Just make sure to bring a notepad and journal, as you’ll walk away with a lot of information.
Also, check out my TikTok page as I post lots of days in the life over in video and vlog style format.
I hope this helped!
Love,
